We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our client in Penzance from The 21St October for 6-12 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support the School. This role requires proficiency in various office software, excellent phone etiquette, and strong clerical skills to manage data entry and maintain accurate records.

This role will require a Portable enhanced DBS to ideally already be in place or they could carry out a new check.


Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08.00-15.30
Hourly Rate: £12.23 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls form students/ parents and teachers.

  • Meet and Greet visitors in line with the schools procedure, including monitoring use of electronic signing in system.

  • Support school events such as parents evening and public events.

  • Provide general HR administrative support with personnel fines, recruitment and recording and booking of training courses.

  • Assist and arrange meetings, including making beverages, circulating agendas/ minutes and booking venues.

  • Managing a busy reception desk.

  • Oversee the stocktaking and replenishments of consumables.

  • Managing and overseeing school payments, including cash received and following trust procedures.

  • Data entry and distribution of post, photocopying and record incoming goods.

Skills:

  • Portable enhanced DBS - this must be registered with the Governments update scheme or happy to have one carried out.

  • Experience working in a school.

  • At least 2-3 years experience in an admin/ reception role

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions precisely
