An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Communications and PR Manager to join an established team in the St Austell area.
The role will see the chosen candidate delivering first class communications, media relations and digital services to both internal and external customers and company stakeholders using the full range of communications channels.
OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working with the Head of Customer Experience and Group Director of People & Culture design, shape and deliver our Communications and PR strategy.
Pro-actively develop a communication action plans and policies to pro-actively raise awareness for all groups. Implement and coordinating activities to deliver communications and PR business priorities.
Ensure the brand and key messages are communicated using a consistent ‘voice’, which is thoughtful in tone and content, in an engaging way both internally and externally.
Develop both external and internal focused communication strategies in line with company objectives.
Collaborate with Senior Managers in the organisation, and external PR support, where required, to coordinate the PR response to crisis situations, ensuring that robust processes and support are in place.
Deliver communication projects, campaigns and be the Communications and PR lead on corporate projects.
Develop and maintain company websites.
Manage and develop social media accounts
Develop the business' digital approach, both internally and externally, working collaboratively across the business.
Plan and deliver interesting and engaging content for a range of internal channels.
Coordinate and draft responses to media requests, other press materials and social media.
Provide advice and feedback, proof reading or checking of communications to be sent out by Senior Managers or colleagues
Analysing and report on media coverage, communication efforts and brand metrics using a variety of data sources.
Promote a positive and professional image of the business to colleagues, tenants, customers and other stakeholders in line with Values & Behaviours.
Provide advice and guidance to the business on all communication and PR related matters, with particular thought to the communication of an inclusive work environment.
Manage the Communications and PR budget.
Ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) legislation.
Provide general communications expertise and support, advice and training for staff to support the production of positive news stories, maximise website use, drive channel shift, and increase digital inclusion.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification. A degree level 6 qualification in Marketing & Communications would be advantageous.
Have knowledge and experience of working in and managing communications, marketing or public relations
Experience of managing communications in fast paced and pressured situations
In depth knowledge and understanding of communications and public relations channels and best practices
Experience and knowledge of using a range of social media platforms and how they can be most effectively used
Experience of writing engaging and accurate content
Working knowledge of graphic design and video content
Knowledge and experience of editing a WordPress website, producing video clips and experience of publishing software would be advantageous but not essential.
Office365 experience including Word, Powerpoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint
Experience in producing press releases and copy writing
Experience of working in a customer service role
Exceptional communicator who can communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a range of people, adapting style and approach accordingly
Creates engaging and informative communications
Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent attention to detail whilst also able to strategise and think about the larger overarching brand image and messaging
Creative and full of ideas of how to improve and innovate

This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The company offers a hybrid office/home working policy.
