Seeking a motivated and experienced Digital Hardware Engineer for a brand-new role in Falmouth.
The successful candidate will assist with design, development and system evaluation across a multi-discipline design and prototype.
Applicants must have previous experience within the electronics industry as well as a relevant degree qualification or suitable experience within the field.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with a 1/2 hour lunch break (37.5 hour week). Some flexibility will be required due to occasional weekend or out of hours duties to meet business needs.
Key duties & responsibilities:
Digital electronic hardware design and development
Cost and manufacture design analysis
Circuit schematic and PCB layout, space and cost critical designs essential
Circuit/PCB prototype evaluation involving signal integrity, general electronic noise, EMC and power behaviour
Liaison with production engineering including engineering change documentation and advising production on test strategy
Essential experience & qualifications:
Degree in Electronic Engineering or suitable experience within field
2 + years experience within a similar role
Understanding of high speed digital design, embedded microprocessor and microcontroller design
Experience of digital circuit components and digital serial communications
Knowledge of USB and Ethernet peripherals
Experience of Circuit Schematic design - ideally Altium
Knowledge of PCB layout, VHDL, logic design tools and digital audio would be desirable
Full UK driving licence
