Experienced Buyer wanted for an expanding manufacturing business in St. Austell, Cornwall.
Offering an immediate start, competitive salary and short hours on Fridays! This would suit somebody who has previous electronic procurement experience, as well as experience of managing supplier accounts and service providers.
The salary will be £25,000 per annum, depending on experience level.
Procuring all raw materials associated with the manufacturing of electronic products.
Maintaining assigned supplier relations, whilst negotiating and reporting on prices and terms.
Analysing MRP data and monitoring stock to keep costs down.
Providing engineers with timescales and alternative components.
Liaise with technical staff to select new and alternative sources of supply, whilst driving continuous improvement.
Ensure purchase order numbers are checked and matched to requirements across production and development projects.
Previous electronic component level procurement experience.
Understanding of the market to ensure correct sourcing.
Knowledge of MPR procurement system and good IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Ability to achieve goals whilst working towards deadlines and prioritising workloads.
Demonstrable experience communication at all levels with both internal stakeholders and supplier contracts.
Commercial and financially driven mind-set, with a drive towards continuous improvement.
Competitive annual salary, starting at £25,000 per annum depending on experience.
12pm finishes on Fridays.
Flexible option to work part or full time.
5 weeks holiday per annum

Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm 8am - 5pm and 8am - 12pm on Fridays (37 hour week).
