My client, a reputable businesses on the outskirts of Exeter, is looking to hire a Shift Engineer to support their high-performing team with preventative maintenance, repair and servicing tasks across the site.

Working shift patterns are 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00 on rotation, with 7 days off every 4 weeks, on top of holiday entitlement!

What will you be doing:

  • Provide a service to the production departments process through performing preventative maintenance, fault-finding and inspections or repair work.

  • Deliver prompt and reactive engineering support to operations.

  • Work alongside the engineering team operating in line with SOPs and adhering to scalation procedures.

  • Carry out engineering checks on plant and equipment.

  • Contribute to energy cost reduction initiatives and operation of site facilities to appropriate waste management/cost reduction.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications, with an electrical bias (17th edition regulations).

  • Experience working within a fast paced production environment (food desirable).

  • Proven expertise in engineering and maintenance techniques.

  • Experience of PPM systems.

  • Strong communication and IT skills to include Microsoft Office packages.
