​We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Hygiene Operative!

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across a food unit. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all employees and visitors.

Working hours: 1030-1900 Monday – Friday.

Own transport ideal, although a short walk from a bus stop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas.

  • Ensure compliance with company hygiene standards and procedures.

  • Use cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals safely and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any discrepancies or issues.

  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other hygiene products as needed.

  • Handle waste disposal and ensure all waste bins are emptied and cleaned regularly.

  • Identify and report maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate personnel.

  • Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment.

  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on best practices and procedures.


  • Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role is preferred but not essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

  • Understanding of and ability to follow health and safety regulations.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
