An experienced, versatile and skilled joiner is required to join a well-established family run business in the Truro area. The position offers a varied workload within an attractive working environment.
Reporting to the Director and operating from a base on the outskirts of Truro, the successful applicant will have NVQ or equivalent qualifications and solid previous experience.
You will be required to fulfil the following criteria:
A high level of competency in bench joinery is essential as we have a broad requirement for producing a wide variety of items for the Estate properties. This includes first and second fix, and also finer more intricate joinery requirements. You will need both an excellent level of skill with hand tools and also be adept at operating workshop machinery and power tools.
You will need to be experienced and competent to independently work on a broad range of site joinery skills, property repairs, maintenance and improvement work, working across our large property portfolio.
This role will be varied you will be required to provide comprehensive day to day reactive repair services across the business premises.
Often working alone, you will need to be a problem solver and self-motivated and capable of producing high quality work on a consistent basis.
You will require a detailed knowledge of site safety.
A friendly character is essential with the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
Due to the location/s you will require a full UK driving license.
Competitive salary range starting from £24K (based on experience)

This role is being offered on a full-time permanent basis. Working hours are 8am to 4.pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3pm on a Friday with a 15 minute break in the morning and a 30 minute break for lunch.
