Experienced and dynamic Operations Manager wanted to join an innovative business on a 12-month contract.
My client, a rapidly expanding engineering business, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager due to internal promotion. The successful applicant will lead the growing operations team, driving production and delivery of the market-leading product through its lifecycle. Whilst initially offered on a fixed term contract, this could lead onto a permanent position for the right person.

Key duties:

  • Monitor operation and production performance in-line with targets

  • Control material supply to ensure production is maintained and stock is at optimum level

  • Oversee purchasing

  • Work alongside the Factory and Engineering teams to develop and implement programme initiatives

  • Support the Quality Manager to define and grow quality processes as a core principle

  • Drive and embody an inclusive and engaging culture

About you:

  • 10+ years previous experience within a technical manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years management experience

  • Degree in engineering, or manufacturing related discipline

  • Experienced in Quality Management, ISO9001, Compliance and EH&S management

  • Good understanding of demand forecast, materials planning and supply chain management


  • £45,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE

  • 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 days after 5 years service (plus bank holidays)
