An exciting new position has become available within an award winning food business near Helston!

My client, a reputable and expanding local business, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to work day shifts as well as some weekends and bank holidays when required. Standard working hours are 45 a week, Monday to Friday including paid breaks.

What you'll be doing:

  • Servicing, fault-finding and fixing day to day plant issues.

  • Creating pro-active strategies to ensure smooth and efficient plant running.

  • Respond quickly to breakdown requests from production, as well as dealing with emergencies and unplanned problems in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with and arrange external contractors as and when required.

  • Engage with operators to drive autonomous working on lines.

Skills required:

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Sound knowledge of industrial mechanical maintenance, alongside electrical fault finding experience

  • Engineering qualifications

  • LEAN manufacturing knowledge is desirable
