Seeking an experienced and self-motivated Procurement Officer for an expanding manufacturing business in Penryn.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the best value purchases of all third party suppliers, an integral part of the team and an advocate for company values and policies.

The Procurement Officer will cover all aspects of the procurement supply chain through handover to the finance function.

Key duties:

  • Selection and validation of suitable suppliers, whilst maintaining approved supplier relationships and managing quotes

  • Liaison with budget holders and producing cost-effective buying plans

  • Purchase order processing

  • Producing planning reports on departmental performance

  • Dealing with import and export regulations and ensuring timeframes and targets are communicated and met

Essential skills:

  • Previous procurement experience

  • Strong IT skills to include MS Excel and knowledge of ERP systems

  • Manufacturing background advantageous

  • CIPS level 3-4 or working towards this (opportunity of company funded training)


  • £27,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE

  • Funded CIPS qualification if required
