My client, a reputable IT service and support business near Falmouth, is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will enjoy technical challenges and possess fantastic customer service skills.

Service Desk Engineers are responsible for maintaining excellent feedback levels throughout an interesting range of technical tickets, whilst continuing to promote the brand. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, offering a competitive salary and flexible working.

Key duties:

  • Managing and recording tech support tasks within the bespoke ticketing system

  • Communicating ticket status' and updating customers on the journey until completion

  • Providing tech support and assistance via remote tools (RMM/PSA)

  • Tech support of Windows Desktop, Microsoft 365, Backup Systems, Endpoint Security, Business Applications and Network Infrastructure

  • Administration of Windows Server and Microsoft 365

About you:

  • Excellent communication with a high level of customer service

  • Ability to work within a busy, small team

  • Proactive and willing to learn or train others

  • Great IT problem solving skills

  • Experience of Desktop Support, IT Networking and Peripherals

  • Knowledge and understanding of service desk tools and software
