Brand-new, incredible opportunity for an experience Sous Chef in Newquay!

My client, a renowned hotel in a great location, is seeking a motivated and experienced Sous Chef to join their amazing kitchen team. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, possess excellent knowledge of ingredients and understand how to use them creatively.

Paying £30,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the job:

  • Support and train staff from CDP level and below

  • Prepare food and clean areas as instructed by the Head Chef

  • Manage the running of the kitchen when required or asked to do so

  • Assist with effective and efficient organisation, supervision, and control of the kitchen operaton

  • Prepare, cook and portion all dishes to meet the exceptional hotel standards

About you:

  • Previous experience working at Sous Chef level

  • Great knowledge of ingredients, with an aspect of creative flare

  • Leadership skills

  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen
