​We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Static Plant Operative!

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of static plant machinery. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at keeping the site efficient, clean, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning of Static Plant Machinery:

  • Perform regular cleaning of all static plant machinery to ensure optimal performance.

  • Remove any blockages, debris, or dirt that could hinder operations

Regular Maintenance and Upkeep:

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on machinery.

  • Identify and report any mechanical issues promptly.

  • Perform minor repairs as needed to maintain equipment functionality.

Manning the Various Picking Stations:

  • Operate and oversee the different picking stations on the plant.

  • Ensure the efficient sorting and processing of materials.

Keeping the Site Clean and Tidy:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Dispose of waste materials properly and in accordance with company policies.

  • Ensure pathways and work areas are free from hazards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of plant machinery and its maintenance.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labor and standing for long periods.
