My client, a bespoke manufacturing business in Falmouth, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing team.
Responsible for supplier quality throughout the manufacturing facility, the successful candidate must have previous experience as well as the flexibility to travel overseas when required.
Key duties & responsibilities:
•Be part of the team on new product developments and acquisitions
•Support development and implementation of supplier quality program
•Act as a supplier liaison for component related issues
•Ensure the non-confirming procedure is follower
•Chair the material review board
•Generate and monitor the corrective and preventative actions for the supplier
•Evaluate, audit, select and monitor suppliers for approval
•Perform risk analysis for components and suppliers
•Review incoming inspection criteria and make recommendations
•Root cause investigation of non-confirming parts in production
•Understand the financial implications of poor supplier quality
•Assist with in-process audits
•Perform final batch release sign off
Essential experience & qualifications:
•Experience in understanding component drawings and tolerances
•Background in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (medical devices preferred)
•Minimum 5 years’ experience within quality, manufacturing, or engineering
•Knowledge of ISO13485 quality systems
•Knowledge of EU Medical Device Regulations
•Supplier development experience
•Internal and external audit experience
•Proficient in using MS office Suite Software
•Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis
•Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
•Results driven problem solver
•Ability to travel across the UK and overseas if required
