Highly regarded business in the SouthWest is looking for a Systems Developer to join their established team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

My client is looking to expand their friendly IT team to help deliver their forward-thinking Business Strategy, and to make a real difference to their clients’ lives, businesses, and their communities.

The role will see the chosen candidate working with an existing team with the challenge of delivering a raft of exciting new IT projects to drive the companies mission forward. Seeking a proactive and positive Systems Developer to enhance an already productive and dynamic Agile team. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and recent experience of designing and building secure, modern, responsive customer facing applications using languages such as C#, PHP, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript and SQL.

Working as part of a high performing team who takes pride in delivering great work, you will be responsible for:

  • Helping to orchestrate and drive projects in order to meet objectives

  • Participating in Agile sprints, and be a hands-on resource for Development and Project workstreams.

  • Champion coding standards and assist in refining and driving process

  • Input into the Development roadmap planning, aligning with Business Strategy

  • Be self-motivated and have a drive for project delivery and self-progression

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Thorough understanding of industry standard technologies, platforms and practices

  • Experience participating in Agile or similar development processes

  • Development skills - C#, dotNet, PHP, SQL, JavaScript (or similar)

  • Working in a structured development platform such as GitLab

  • A working understanding of coding standards (e.g. TDD, SOLID and CLEAN code etc)

  • Systems analysis, design and development skills
