We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Controller to join our team on a temp-to-perm contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of cold store operations, including packaging, stock control, and labelling. This is a hands-on role that requires warehouse experience, a forklift ticket, and the ability to lead a small team.

We are looking for those that have a proven background within a food unit, looking to progress into their next role.

Job Title: Warehouse Controller

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Work Hours: 50 hours per week (with potential for more on average)

Responsibilities:

  • Control and manage all aspects of packaging within the warehouse and cold store.

  • Oversee cold store operations, ensuring the proper handling and storage of frozen stock.

  • Maintain accurate stock control and labelling procedures.

  • Work efficiently in a cold store environment.

  • Lead and supervise a team of 1-2 individuals.

  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, particularly in a cold store environment.

  • Strong knowledge of stock control and labelling procedures.

  • Ability to work in a cold store environment for extended periods.

  • Leadership skills with experience in supervising a small team.

  • Forklift ticket and proficiency in forklift operation.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong communication skills.
