​We have a fantastic new vacancy for an enthusiastic CAD Technician, offering the chance to learn and further develop their skills within an innovative business.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and an interest in Mechanical Engineering alongside the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small design team within a niche manufacturing company, showcasing creative design skills and improving drawings for new projects.

Applicants must live within commutable distance of Hayle, Cornwall.

What are they looking for?

  • Proficient in the use of Solidworks 3D CAD software and MS Office Applications.

  • Motivated to expand and further develop engineering knowledge.

  • Qualifications in CAD, Design or Engineering beneficial.

  • Experience within a similar role beneficial.

What will the role involve?

  • Update and improve existing 3D designs and 2D drawings in Solidworks.

  • Work on new projects, including the production of concept/approval drawings for customers.

  • Work with an integrated PDM system through Solidworks, maintaining revision control on components, assemblies, and drawings.

  • Liaise with suppliers regarding component suitability and procurement.

  • Production of steel and stainless steel 'laser cut' drawing files, and compiling lists of these files for quotation, and stock updates.

  • Create and modify instruction manuals for finished machines
