Are you a skilled manager with experience in retail or wholesale. My client, one of the top independent town and country retails and suppliers, are seeking an Deputy Manager for their store in Axminster. You need to be a great leader who can assist the store manager in inspiring and motivating a team, and at the same time maximize retail sales and achieve budgeted profit target. You will need to be passionate about sales and have high store standards with a great eye for detail. You will also be great at people management as you will support the store manager in coaching and developing the team.
This is a full time permanent role paying £27,000 - £30,000 doe. A full job description is available on request.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include
Know the numbers and drive a commercial action plan.
Support the duty manager rota to drive productivity.
Manage sales floor space well to maximise returns.
Set high standards and expectations with the team, coach them on what great standards look like.
Ensure all ready to trade checklists are completed.
Support the store manager to plan all events and promotions so they are launched accurately and on time.
Coach and develop the team with technical and behavioural skills.
Ensure maximum on shelf availability.
Support the H&S agenda ensuring we are safe and legal at all times.
Keep all costs at the appropriate level.
