​​Are you experienced within the plumbing and heating industry, perhaps looking to down tools and undertake a desk based role within an innovative, forward-thinking business? My client, a niche manufacturing organisation in Exeter, is looking to hire an Installer Development & Commissioning Engineer to enhance the smooth installation experience from the start of their project to completion.

This role will require industry experience from a similar role, however, full product and commissioning training will be provided alongside on-going support.

Whilst there are some site-based visits, the position is based on site in Exeter, working 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Core duties & areas of responsibility:

  • Provide technical information to support installers and users, through a first class telephone commissioning service.

  • Maintaining records, recording changes, analysing content and managing confidential files to ensure compliance.

  • Demonstrate great communication skills through handling incoming emails, telephone calls, face to face interactions and liaising with external contacts or internal Technical Support Teams.

  • Update on project statuses, and develop an understanding of non-compliance process to enable future installs to meet criteria standards.

  • Provide compelling arguments for the use and benefits of the heating products.

  • Support the Department Manager with requests and additional tasks.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Experience within the heating industry or similar.

  • A good understanding of heating systems.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Great attention to detail with an analytical fact-finding approach.

  • Good IT skills on a practical level.

  • Further electrical knowledge would be desirable.
