​​​Do you have a current portable enhanced DBS and experience having worked in a estates/maintenance planning role?

I am working with a a few academies based near Manchester that are looking for an and estates/maintenance administrator to join them on a temp to perm contract ( After 12 weeks you will transfer onto their books and be offered a permanent contract)

Due to this role starting in December, start you will need to be living in or near Manchester and have a portable DBS already in place.

Your DBS - would have been registered on the governments update service, and is portable allowing you to work for different companies.

You will need your own transport due to my clients locations, and you are also expected to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

  • Providing support to colleagues relating to building services and operations such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing etc.

  • Support the Estates Project team in the delivery of projects.

  • Support the Deputy Estates Director in delivering the academies sustainability statement by reducing carbon emissions.

  • Ensure the efficient and intelligent operation of buildings, reducing energy consumption where possible.

  • Monitor, manage and reduce academies consumption.

  • Develop and promote an energy consumption conscious culture across the organisation.

Skills

  • A HND in a relevant engineering field or related technical discipline or significant experience in building services/operations.

  • Previous experience in building services, facilities management or related technical field.

  • Understandingof relevant legislations and best practice relating to energy management.

  • High level of IT skills in Microsoft and/or Google Workplace.

  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.

  • Be a competent user of Microsoft office, including outlook

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for details and accuracy.
