My client, a leading I.T. business in Truro, is looking to recruit an I.T. Customer Support Advisor with network experience to be based at their head office. You will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email. They are a small team and therefore the job role is very varied. A good knowledge of networking would be very beneficial, and full training will be given in their product set where required.

Working days will be Monday to Friday from 830am - 5:00pm and the role is paying £25,000 - £27,000 a year doe.

Responsibilities

  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions

  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers

  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process

  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services

  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs

  • Follow-up and update customer status and information

  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team

  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures

  • Field work and conducting site visits

Requirements and Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer support role

  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of Microsoft products, Networks, VOIP and cloud solutions

  • Good understanding of computer systems, networks, mobile devices, and other technology products

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

  • Proficiency in English

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered

  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner.

  • Full UK Driving Licenses and vehicle.
