​Are you a IT Technician looking for your next role that is both officed based and out in the field dealing with customers. My client, one of the market leaders in the field for IT support, cybersecurity and cloud phone systems, are recruiting a IT Technician - Cloud and Field. You will currently be working as a technician with experience supporting Microsoft Desktops, Networking and related Peripherals. You will play a key role in the service team with system builds at the clients workshop in Penryn, onsite deployment of new hardware and onsite support with customers throughout Cornwall.

This role will include using Microsoft 365 Cloud Technologies and training will be provided. The company will provide training including Microsoft 365 Certifications along with a structured learning path and personal development, and access to an approved training and development platform that provides hands on e-learning content.

The role is full time permanent Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm and is paying £26,000 to £32,000 dependent on experience.

Key Experience

  • 2+ years of Desktop support and installation.

  • 2+ years of technical support or technical customer facing role.

  • Experience with IT system installations; including windows desktops, printers, switching and WiFi preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin preferred.

  • Experience with setting up new users preferred.

Preferred But Not Essential

  • Microsoft 365 Administration.

  • Microsoft Intune Application Deployment.

  • Backup Systems.

  • Routers & Firewalls.

  • PSA and RMM Software Tools.

Key Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive preferred.

  • Strong communications skills are key and an ability to talk with customers at all levels with a good clear and friendly telephone manner.

  • Able to explain issues and deal with customers with varying technical skills.

  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills and share knowledge and mentor other technicians.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, both in-person and remotely.

  • Full clean drivers licence.
