My client, a niche business near Truro, Cornwall, is looking to hire a Manufacturing Technician to support their high-performing team with achieving company success through continuous development of maintenance and engineering. With a strong emphasis on safety and compliance, this role will lead to a deep understanding of H&S regulations and practices across the business to improve these critical skills across the wider business.

The position is based on site, with working hours 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing:

  • Collaborate with teams to ensure final product designs are suitable for volume manufacturing, adapt and develop processes and ensure parts are fit for purpose.

  • Plan first production concepts, defining requirements within business plans and conducting risk analysis for production.

  • Ensure production training is completed, and the installation of equipment is compliant with standards.

  • Complete necessary documentation for production, article release processes and ensure final documentation is up to date and accurate.

  • Assist production and Quality Assurance with technical queries and Continuous Improvement efficiencies.

  • Identify and solve manufacturing process issues, improving engineering processes and procedures and provide Value Management feedback.

Essential skills & experience:

  • Recognised NVQ Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 18th Edition Regulations.

  • Ability to carry out condition monitoring of plant and equipment, alongside fault diagnosis and repair activities on high technology engineering systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to maintain components, equipment and systems.

  • Prior experience and knowledge of equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, planned preventative maintenance and technical principles.

  • Knowledge of heating and refrigeration beneficial.
