​My client, the largest independent washroom services provider in the South West, is looking to recruit a well-organised, well-motivated Operations Manager with proven experience of logistics and managing a team. Your role will primarily be to manage and motivate the operations team from their depots in Cornwall, Dorset and Bristol. You will be based in their head office with regular travel to both customers and their depots, so you will need to have a full clean drivers licence.

You need to be a well-organised, well-motivated individual with proven experience of operations and fleet management. You will also need to be confident and personable with a strong desire to succeed and grow the business. A ‘can do’ attitude will be essential to maintain the level of service that our customers expect.

This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday and is paying from £38,000 doe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering an exceptional level of customer service to our customers.

  • Employing both a continuous improvement and marginal gains approach to every aspect of operations across all 3 depots.

  • Ensuring that all 3 teams collaborate effectively maximising our resources and customer care level by all working together.

  • Full oversight of our Installation Team and associated processes to ensure the best customer experience and high standards of work

  • Motivating / driving positivity through our team, building relationships with drivers, customers and other office teams.

  • Delivery of projects as required by the Ops Director.

  • HR and Health and Safety in line with Company Policy.

Required Skills

  • Experience in operations and fleet management, and a comprehensive oversight of the fleet is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and delivery of services.

  • A passion for customer care and teamwork.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology.

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances demonstrating determination and a will to succeed.
