​Are you a payroll assistant / administrator looking for your next role in Cornwall? My client, one of the top recruitment agencies in the South of England, are seeking a Payroll Administrator to work out of their Truro office. The role will mainly be processing weekly PAYE payroll for over 700 contractors across the companies brands, and you will help develop their contractor pay offering. Within the role there is clear scope for progression as their business grows and their team expands, and you will report in at Director level.

This is a full time permanent role paying £24,000 to £28,000 per annum doe and working hours Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day with 1 hour for lunch. A full job description is available on request.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Onboarding and setting up new workers for payment, ensure all necessary checks are in place.

  • Importing timesheets from our inhouse timesheet management system.

  • Collating, verifying and processing contractor expenses.

  • Liaising with HMRC and courts (where applicable).

  • Reconcile all stages of payroll processing and invoicing clients.

  • Importing files into the bank for payment and files into the pension scheme.

  • Liaising with vetting and accounts teams.

About You

  • Previous experience of Temporary Recruitment Pay and Bill solutions beneficial but not essential (e.g. Merit, Zeel, Access, RSM, SAFE, etc).

  • Working knowledge of payroll and excellent communication skills.

  • Numerate and attention to detail.

  • Ability to working to deadlines and good organisational skills.

  • Strong IT skills with experience of MS Excel and MS Word.
