​​​​​​If you are a shop supervisor or assistant manager with bakery experience we want to hear from you. My client, one of the top bakery and pasty companies in the South West are seeking a Assistant Bakery (Shop) Manager to help run their site in Lyme Regis, Dorset. As the Assistant Bakery Manager you will support the Bakery Manager in planning, managing, controlling and reviewing the operation of the bakery ensuring excellent customer service.

You will be expected to assist in maximise sales, minimise cost, set excellent shop standards, adherence to food safety and H&S legislation, and to motivate and engage the team in the running of the store. You will ensure all products are consistently prepared, cooked and presented to the customer to the approved standard and within a clean, safe and tidy shop at all times, with adequate product availability for the appropriate time of the day.

This is a permanent full time role working 5 out of 7 days per week, and is paying up to £26,500 doe.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include

  • Work with the Bakery Manager to manage the duty rota to drive productivity.

  • Assist in managing sales floor space to maximise returns.

  • Set high standards and expectations with the team, coach them on what great standards look like.

  • Ensure all ready to trade checklists are completed.

  • Help coach and develop the team with technical and behavioural skills.

  • Assist in leading the H&S agenda ensuring we are safe and legal at all times.

  • Keep all costs at the appropriate level.
