My client, one of the top bakery and pasty companies in the South West are seeking a Bakery (Shop) Manager to run their site in Dorchester, Dorset. As the Bakery Manager you will plan, manage, control and review the operation of the bakery ensuring excellent customer service.
You will be expected to maximise sales, minimise cost, set excellent shop standards, adherence to food safety and H&S legislation, and to motivate and engage your team in the running of the store. You will ensure all products are consistently prepared, cooked and presented to the customer to the approved standard and within a clean, safe and tidy shop at all times, with adequate product availability for the appropriate time of the day.
This is a permanent full time role working 5 out of 7 days per week, and is paying up to £31,000 doe.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include
Manage the duty manager rota to drive productivity.
Manage sales floor space well to maximise returns.
Set high standards and expectations with the team, coach them on what great standards look like.
Ensure all ready to trade checklists are completed.
Coach and develop the team with technical and behavioural skills.
Lead the H&S agenda ensuring we are safe and legal at all times.
Keep all costs at the appropriate level.
