​We have an exciting new role in the Redruth area! Currently looking to recruit e temporary Electrical Fitter.

As an electrical fitter, you will play a pivotal role in the mechanical and electrical assembly of electrical control panels and plant equipment.

Working hours of 37.5 per week between 7am-3pm, Monday - Friday.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation of cable management solutions such as cable tray, trunking, and conduit for electrical panels to equipment.

  • Wiring tasks encompassing cable identification and termination.

  • Handling the installation and refurbishment of onsite equipment.

  • Mechanical assembly of control panels, incorporating switchgear, contactors, and control equipment.

  • Conducting initial testing of new equipment, including first power-up, fault finding, and functional testing.

  • Electrical wiring of control panels and associated plant machinery.

  • Conducting initial point-to-point wiring checks and testing.

  • Engaging in fault finding and functional testing of both new and returned hire equipment.

  • Contributing to the refurbishment of existing customer equipment.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar electrical role, with proficiency in working on single, three-phase, and low voltage systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot various electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in reading and working from electrical schematics.

  • Competence in soldering wires and electronic components.

  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
