Are you a experienced technician with an electrical background looking for your next role in the Southwest? My client, one of the top electrical contractors based in the Plymouth area, is looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to help their expanding team. This position reports directly to the electrical management team, within the electrical division of the business. The electrical division delivers electrical services installations to their commercial and industrial clients, across a variety of industries within the South West region.
You will be responsible for managing electrical teams onsite and completing the day-to-day paperwork associated with running CDM complaint sites.
This is a permanent full time role working 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday and is paying up to £47,154 doe. A full job description is available on request.
Key Duties Include
Manage all aspects of the onsite works/project from order/award to completion. This will include assisting with the coordination of projects including any subcontractors.
Effectively work alongside Technicians from other disciplines to deliver turnkey projects.
Line management of electrical onsite teams including coaching and training where needed.
Provide timely updates to the project programme and communication of the programme to all stakeholders.
To manage the resources relating to the works/project on a day-to-day basis and to report any staff issues as appropriate.
Lead and motivate the team and find areas of improvement.
Essential Experience
Qualified approved electrician (Level 3 or equivalent) with 2 years time served as a minimum within industrial and commercial environments.
3 years of experience of supervising works and projects to reach completion within the agreed timescale.
Experience of coordinating M&E installation and commissioning.
18th Edition Qualified.
2391 Inspection and Testing qualified (or equivalent).
CSCS card – essential.
SMSTS course – essential.

Ability to adhere to stringent Health and Safety rules and promote a safe working environment.
Positive, flexible, and pro-active attitude to work with a desire to influence others to adopt a similar attitude.
Must be able to remain calm under pressure whilst working to strict deadlines.
Familiarity with completing permits to work and will be able to complete accurate and concise paperwork.
Be able to understand client briefs and any project constraints.
Full clean drivers license.
