​Exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join an established and dynamic team in the central Truro area. This role will see the chosen candidate working as part of a busy and friendly team, contributing effectively to the smooth running of a busy finance department.

You will be a skilled verbal and written communicator and ideally have previous experience of working within a similar role. You will be able to produce and review management accounts and compliance returns, ensuring adequate controls are in place, assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, and line manage a team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.

  • The ability to demonstrate a high level of numeracy.

  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory and management accounts from either an industry or practice background.

  • Commercial awareness and negotiation skills

  • Data rationale and analytical skills

  • The ability to collate, interpret and present information

  • Strong computer-based skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Presentation and organisational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Line management skills
