Are you a fire alarm engineer looking for your next role in the Cornwall area? My client, a leading fire alarm engineering company covering the UK, are recruiting for a qualified Fire Alarm Service Engineer to cover the Cornwall area. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work in various environments. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
The client operates a 24 hour on call service so this role requires you to be on the out of hours call rota every 3-6 weeks depending on cover, and you will be informed and be given an opportunity to advise what dates you are available to be on call.
This is a full time permanent role with OTE of up to £45,000, and you will be required to hold a full clean drivers licience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform service and maintenance on Fire Alarm and Emergency Lights.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure systems are functioning properly and in compliance with regulations.
Troubleshoot and repair any issues with fire protection equipment.
Install new fire protection systems as needed.
Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects to be able to report system defects/problems accurately to be able to work unsupervised for periods of time Complete Paperwork to a professional standard.
Organise own scheduling and replenishment van stock.
Required Experience
Previous experience as a fire engineer or in a similar role is essential with at least 1 years experience.
Knowledge of fire protection systems and equipment.
Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
