​Exciting opportunity for an experienced HR & Payroll Officer to join an established and dynamic team in the Redruth area on a permanent part time basis of 21 hours per week.

 

The role will see the chosen candidate providing professional administrative support to a busy HR department. To assist in providing a professional, efficient and effective HR administration service across the business in accordance with agreed policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation; maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards at all times and running an efficient & effective payroll service.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing a professional, efficient, confidential and proactive HR support service in conjunction external HR advisors

  • Produce quality work that meets deadlines and is accurate and professionally presented

  • Ensure that all returns and reporting are completed accurately & to deadlines

  • Administer an efficient and accurate payroll

  • Be the first point of contact for HR/Payroll related enquires

  • Help coordinate staff training

  • Deliver excellent customer service at every opportunity

  • Assist HR Manager with ad hoc projects as and when required

 

The role will incorporate duties across:

 

  • Recruitment & Appointment

  • Staffing & Payroll

  • Human Resources Administration

  • Absence Management

  • Training

 

Required skills & experience:

 

  • Experience of using a wide range of office equipment and ICT software- such as Excel, information systems in an administrative environment

  • Payroll experience

  • HR Experience

  • GCSE level 4 in Maths and English, or equivalent qualification

  • Robust self-management skill;

  • Able to work under pressure and to work effectively through changing situations

  • Ability to work on own initiative & within a team. Demonstrate a clear commitment to the team approach; exchanging ideas and providing support to colleagues.

  • Able to work accurately and with attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals

  • Proven high communication skills, oral and written in order to produce detailed reports and memos

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Discreet & confidential.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
