​We have a fantastic new vacancy for an experienced Metal Finisher to join an innovative and busy manufacturing team within a purpose-built factory based in the Hayle area.

The role will see the chosen candidate working in a busy metal finishing department, involving various stainless steel metal finishing tasks and other hands-on duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have some experience working in industrial environments and using power tools (i.e. drills, grinders, nail guns, etc.). The right candidate must be happy to work hard in a hands-on mechanical environment and be able to listen and learn about work tasks.

Main tasks:

  • Carry out stainless-steel metal finishing using in-house tools and machinery.

  • Package finished machines on wooden pallets including making wooden crates.

  • Put together sub-assemblies for use in the production of machines.

Key skills required:

  • High attention to detail in the finishing of components.

  • Ability to listen and learn about new job tasks.

  • Ability to perform consistently and to deadlines with the right attitude.

  • Tidy, polite, and professional approach to work.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualifications in mechanical fields are desirable but not required.

  • Job-specific training in Metal Finishing and Packaging will be provided, but previous experience is desirable.

  • Driving license required.

  • Hourly rate: £11.50 - £12.50 per hour depending on experience.

  • Hours: 40 hour working week, overtime available at times - overtime: 1.5 x hourly rate
