​​If you are an skilled convenience store/food retail manager we want to hear from you. My client, one of the top convenience stores in Cornwall are seeking a Store Manager to run their site on the Roseland Peninsular. As the Store Manager you will plan, manage, control and review the operation of the convenience store ensuring excellent customer service.

You will be expected to maximise sales, minimise cost, set excellent shop standards including stock control and ordering, adherence to food safety and H&S legislation, and to motivate and engage your team in the running of the store. You will ensure the store is clean, safe and tidy at all times, with adequate product availability for the appropriate time of the day.

This is a permanent full time role working 5 out of 7 days per week, and is paying from £25,000 to £30,000 doe.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include

  • Manage the duty manager rota to drive productivity.

  • Manage sales floor space well to maximise returns.

  • Set high standards and expectations with a team of 12 - 15 staff, and coach them on what great standards look like.

  • Ensure all ready to trade checklists are completed.

  • Coach and develop the team with technical and behavioural skills.

  • Lead the H&S agenda ensuring we are safe and legal at all times.

  • Keep all costs at the appropriate level.
