My client, a steel fabrication and erecting company working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium products, is seeking a qualified Welder / Fabricator to work at their Redruth depot. You will need to have experience in welding and fabrication of structural steel projects such as staircases, balustrades, hand rails etc. Use of plasma/grinders is required, and TIG welding would be advantage but not essential.
This is an immediate start full time permanent role working Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:30 with overtime available, and is paying from £15.50 - £17.00 doe.
Key Tasks
Produce and complete projects of welded steel (MIG) and stainless steel (TIG) components at the direction of the department supervisor.
Metal preparation tasks including grinding, cutting, drilling, folding, etc.
Ability to read drawings and weld symbols.
On occasion carry out metal finishing of fabricated stainless steel components.
About You
Minimum 3 years experience in steel fabrication and welding.
Able to work with minimal supervision to deadlines.
Good team player.
Focus on manual handling and health and safety in role.
