​Are you a Workshop Manager / Controller looking for you next role in Cornwall? An opportunity for a commercial PCV or Large Vehicle Fitter with supervisory or management experience to join a long established Cornish coach operator to oversee a busy and proactive workshop and to maintain all company vehicles to a very high standard.

This is a permanent full time role working a 40 hour week paying £18.00 - £20.00 per hour dependent on experience, plus some on call duties. The ideal candidate must work well as a hands on member of a team when required as well as leading and supporting its members. Previous experience in a leading role and large vehicle or PCV vehicle technician experience are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading by example maintain and execute a high standard of vehicle maintenance.

  • Maintain service records and oversee vehicle defect reporting system.

  • Sourcing parts and spares and keeping necessary records.

  • Planning work and maintenance for the workshop and staff.

  • Work closely with service desk to provide information regarding repair work needed.

  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.

  • Championing and adhering to Health and Safety policies

Key Skills

  • PCV license desirable but not essential.

  • Minimum of 5 years diagnostics mechanic experience.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Lead a team effectively and ensure industry leading customer service.

  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with colleagues in all departments.

  • Flexible ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Full UK Driving Licence
