Well established and reputable manufacturing business in the Falmouth area is looking for an EHS Trainer to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Role Purpose:
To work as a member of the EHS team, providing EHS Training to all levels of the business as well as providing EHS support and guidance when required.
This role will be predominantly based in Falmouth, but will also include training for other sites within Falmouth and Redruth.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Developing, implementing and delivering of health, safety and environmental training courses, for internal delivery.
Supporting the development, review and implementation of an EHS training matrix, in line with current health and safety legislation.
Supporting the administration and management of EHS training requirements for all staff, across all departments.
Helping to create toolbox talks and EHS moments, so that the EHS Team have a suite available to deliver with the managers and team leaders.
Assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
Maintain knowledge of current legislative, statutory and sector EHS requirements.
Support the EHS Team in review / creation of documentation such as risk assessments, COSHH, PUWER and SOP’s / SSoW’s.
Provide EHS support, advice and coaching to department managers, team leaders and operatives.
Support our EHS leading indicators by raising EHS concerns and BBS observations, within a dedicated site and be a coach to anyone who needs support in using the EHS systems.
Required Experience:
Demonstratable experience in a training position for a wide, varied range of EHS courses (to include but not limited to: IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Working Safely, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Wardens, Spill Control/response, working at height etc.
Able to deliver awareness courses such as Risk Assessments, COSHH assessments, office safety, electrical safety etc.
Experience of BBS (Behavioral Based Safety) initiatives
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Publisher)
Excellent communicator and able to build effective working relationships at all levels
Able to challenge poor practice and recommend cost effective solutions
Resourceful, confident and have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate the ability and desire to progress and develop within a dedicated EHS team.
Team work attitude, proactive approach and up-hold professional standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Level 3 teaching qualification: PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) or ‘Award in Education & Training (AET) as minimum
Qualified and Experienced IOSH trainer/tutor
Fully qualified First Aid trainer
This role is being offered on full time permanent basis. Monday to Friday.
