Are you a Degree qualified Engineer, looking for an opportunity to join an innovative business with excellent expansion plans? My client, an award-winning business based near Truro, is seeking an R&D Engineer to bring a high level of passion to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a proven track record designing for a manufacturing business, looking to bring their knowledge within a renowned organisation.

Before hitting apply, here is what they're looking for:

  • Degree educated within an engineering discipline with several years experience.

  • Experience being solely accountable for the management of high value projects.

  • Track record of delivering projects within time and budget, as well as managing change through engineering change processes.

  • Experience managing change and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Project management skills, and the ability to lead a team of Engineers through continuous improvement and developments.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills required alongside a comprehensive understanding of applied physics.

  • Solidworks CAD skills, pipework design and experience in the heating industry, with knowledge of control systems and embedded electronics would be beneficial.

  • Design and manage the design of products, producing concise technical reports and seeking to improve or streamline processes.

  • Use sound engineering practices including Design for Manufacture & Risk Management.

  • Produce and check CAD drawings, documentation and reports whilst working to improve current product range designs.

  • Supervise mechanical based analysis, development and design of products and equipment.

  • Lead and manage projects, supervising a small team of Engineers to motivate, enhance capabilities, and mentor from an experienced viewpoint.

  • Consistently develop own knowledge, and undertake training or assist in training other employees as required.
