​Interesting opportunity for a data analyst to join an established and award-winning team in the St Austell area in the role of Property Services Data Analyst. This role is being offered on a fixed term contract of 6 months.

The role will see the chosen candidate being responsible for extracting, preparing, monitoring, analysis and reporting of data relating to an Energy Improvement programme. To support the Energy Improvement Team with submission of a comprehensive bid for funding projects through provision of meaningful data analysis and modelling.

PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that data held within a bespoke data management system is complete and accurate to be used within reporting and funding bid submissions.

  • To provide data and analysis support to an Energy Improvement Team in the submission of a bid to obtain funding towards energy programmes.

  • To support the submission of bids and implementation of projects identified by senior management which will deliver service improvements and efficiencies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Extract data from the company’s data management system; ensure all data held is correct; identify missing data and facilitate gathering and updating to ensure records are complete and accurate.

  • Analyse and cross check data held on the database provided by internal sources, external stakeholders and government Energy Performance Database to ensure consistency of data.

  • In conjunction with the Energy Lead, use available tools to analyse and use data to model possible options for energy install and retrofit programmes of work.

  • Liaise with funding consortium representatives and colleagues as appropriate to assist with formulating the funding bid proposal.

  • Create, maintain and provide regular progress reports against agreed project timelines.

  • Assist with introducing, monitoring and maintaining key performance indicators to obtain funding and related industry best practice standards.

  • Assist with identifying and implementing effective, reliable and efficient methods for monitoring, analysing, reporting and presenting performance data.

  • Extract data and produce reports for presentation on progress against performance targets and actions.

  • Support the use of ICT within the teams to improve efficiency to achieve top quartile performance.

  • Assist in refreshing energy data and programmes to reflect property and cost changes.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Educated to Level 3 or A Level grade A-C or equivalent.

  • Experience of extracting and analysing data and presenting results clearly.

  • Working knowledge and experience of using computerised databases.

  • A good working knowledge and understanding of MS365 applications.

  • Knowledge of Sharepoint and OneDrive functionality.

  • An understanding of appropriate ways of working to ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulations

  • Excellent IT skills, including the ability to use Excel to an advanced standard in order to create detailed reports to present data.

  • Able to analyse numerical and written information.

  • Superb attention to detail and produce accurate reports and summary documents.

  • Demonstrates a rapid understanding of newly presented information.

  • Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction.

  • Ability to understand and execute instructions accurately.

  • Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

  • Ability to escalate issues calmly and rationally and seek appropriate guidance.
