​Are you a purchase ledger or finance assistant looking for your next role? My client, one of the top marine engineering companies in Cornwall are seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant to work out of their head office near Redruth. You will need to have previous experience working within an accounting clerical role with good numerical skills and intermediate level in Excel. Working as a Purchase Ledger Assistant you will support the Finance Co-ordinator with daily routine processing tasks and other such duties to support the finance function and wider business.

This is a part time role working 20 hours per week and paying up to £14.00 per hour doe. A full job description is available on request.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring company accounts email inbox.

  • Ensuring supplier invoices match company purchase orders.

  • Processing of all supplier invoices into Xero.

  • Ensuing all invoices are received against supplier statements.

  • Adding credit card receipts and expenses to Xero.

  • Assist procurement on purchase orders.

  • Chasing any credit card receipts/invoices not received against purchases.

  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required.

About You

  • Experience using Xero Accounting software.

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Adaptive, able to use own initiative and ability to work independently.

  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
